Unlike most of Duxbury’s witnesses, Johnson does not seem to suffer from early onset Alzheimers, generally remembers things one normally would be expected to remember quite well, and tells what appears to be a very straightforward and quite interesting story of what went down from his own perspective.
Johnson’s account is actually quite supportive of Duxbury’s Recreation Director Gordon Cushing who comes across as someone who was really trying to do the right thing, but had to deal with some pretty strong pressures from others in Town Government and on the Duxbury Board of Selectmen.This document really is a “must read” for anyone who wants to get the full perspective on what went down with North Hill over the past decade or so.
